So, I have been a total slacker when it comes to this blogging thing. But I have to say life has been quite hectic.
I am happy to report that on November 20th I completed my first 5k. I will never reveal my time. My time sucked. But, what matters is that I finished it. I was horribly upset the day of the run. I was very disappointed in my performance but I know the important thing is that I've come so much farther than I've ever been able to before. From this point I can only improve. I can't say I'll be doing another run anytime soon. I think I need to feel a lot more confident in my running ability before I go there again. :)
The 5k was followed by a trip to South Carolina to celebrate Thanksgiving. What a wonderful Thanksgiving it was! My sister came down and my mom cooked a delicious turkey - many props to Mom! We also saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Friday - yay! I love spending time with the family and as always it was hard to come back.
As soon as I returned home, I got on a plane and headed to Texas for work. It was a quick trip but I took part in the company holiday party which was much fun! However - note to self - do not wear platforms for 16 hours straight!!! My feet are usually in slippers or sneakers and I got myself all dressed up for this party. At the end of the night my feet had puffed up around my shoes (I know, totally gross) and all I could feel in my small toes for days was tingling. Definitely bad, bad choice in shoes. But they looked good!

This past weekend I took a day trip to New York City with my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and niece. We saw the Radio City Christmas Show Spectacular. Let me just say that every year growing up my mom, sister and I would get up Thanksgiving morning to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We would curl our hair, do our nails and wait for the Rockettes to do their number (well, and we would wait for Santa of course!). To finally see the Rockettes live was amazing! I was like a little kid - I had the biggest, stupidest grin on my face the entire time! They were mind-blowing! I loved every second of it!!!! I can't imagine all the hard-work and training that they go through. And they do 4 shows a day, if not more. That's insane! I would absolutely love to see them again, it totally made my holiday! Below is a photo of my niece and I in New York...

So now Christmas is upon us! 2010 comes to an end and we embark on 2011. I also turn 33 - groan! I'll do my best to keep this more updated!
